Christmas in the Premier League is known to be one of the most gruelling parts of the English football calendar.
Top-flight sides face a hectic schedule with each team set to play multiple fixtures across the busy festive period.
Having so many games in such a short amount of time means players don't get much time to recover.
This is exacerbated when taking into account the travelling each team has to do to away matches and back home.
There is set to be a game nearly every day from December 21 all the way through to January 2.
And in the Premier League, there are three rounds of fixtures between those dates — Gameweeks 18, 19 and 20.
Across this period, Chelsea will be hit the hardest when it comes to recovery time.
They will only have a total of 143.5 hours of time to rest and recover between their games against Wolves on at 1pm on December 24, Crystal Palace at 7:30pm on December 27 and Luton at 12:30pm on December 30.
Mauricio Pochettino will likely be forced into making regular changes to his side throughout that schedule to try and avoid injuries.
Wolves will also have limited time off with only 146 hours and it's the same for Everton who will have just 148 hours to rest.
Sean Dyche's side have to travel to London to face Tottenham at 3pm on December 23 before taking on Manchester City at 8:15pm on December 27 and Wolves at 3pm on December 30.
Meanwhile, Wolves take on Brentford at 7:30pm on December 27 in between their games against Everton and Chelsea.
At the other end of the bargain are Brighton, who will get more than double the recovery time of Chelsea.
The Seagulls will have 287.5 hours of rest between their games against Crystal Palace, Tottenham and West Ham across the Christmas period.
