Many of Tottenham Hotspur's large gaggle of loan players got minutes under their belt this week with a busy set of fixtures.
Spurs have a contingent of players out on loan at sides in the Premier League and Football League as well as across Turkey, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. All of them are now approaching the business ends of their seasons away from the nest and the coming weeks will dictate how they are remembered at their current clubs.
Here's how the 13 Tottenham loan players got on over the past week:
Djed Spence was called upon by Genoa to rescue a dreadful first half on Saturday and he almost helped them salvage a result against Monza in Serie A.
Genoa found themselves two goals down at the break at home and the 23-year-old right-back was thrown into the action as a left wing-back after the interval in a triple change by the hosts. Genoa duly grabbed two goals back within 23 minutes of the second period starting but chucked it away by conceding a 79th minute goal from Daniel Maldini.
Spence did make an impact during his 45 minutes or so, making one key pass, having one shot at goal, one dribble, putting two crosses into the box and one accurate long ball, while making 24 passes and having 35 touches as he tried to affect proceedings. He put in one dangerous cross in the final moments that Mattia Bani could only head straight at the goalkeeper.
Spence has now played six times for the Italian club, with 308 minutes to his name, after his Leeds United loan was cut short and the full-back was then included in the deal that saw Radu Dragusin come to Tottenham.
