According to L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain are in talks with Leeds United over a move for Diego Llorente (30), who is currently on loan at Serie A side AS Roma.
PSG have been in the market for a centre-back this January, following a potentially season-ending injury for Milan Skriniar. The former Inter Milan centre-back was injured during the Trophée des Champions victory over Toulouse FC and he subsequently had to undergo surgery on an ankle injury.
Many names have been touted, including Kevin Danso, Jean-Clair Todibo and David Hancko, and according to Foot Mercato, even Dayot Upamecano, however, all are considered to be too onerous. PSG have therefore turned to Leeds, with whom they have a strong relationship, to sign Llorente. He has been a key figure since moving to Roma on loan in January 2023, whilst he is also appreciated by Luis Enrique, who picked Llorente on 10 occasions while he was manager of the Spain national team.
Negotiations between Leeds, Roma and PSG are ongoing in order to find a potential deal for Llorente, who could play a potentially prominent role for Les Parisiens between now and the end of the season.
