Following a fiery exchange in the media recently, Sead Ramovic’s TS Galaxy will welcome Rulani Mokwena’s Mamelodi Sundowns to the Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday night in what has been billed as one of the most keenly anticipated DStv Premiership encounters in recent memory.
Kick-off is at 7:30pm CAT (SA, GMT+2)
Current form
Ramovic and Mokwena’s verbal blows became trending topics on social media in the last couple of days, which has now funnelled down to one of the most important fixtures on the DStv Premiership calendar on Wednesday evening.
The Rockets suffered a 2-0 loss against Cape Town Spurs in their most recent league fixture, a result that was recorded off the back of three consecutive wins against Chippa United and Golden Arrows respectively.
While Galaxy sits in 7th place on the table, Sundowns remain at the summit of the DStv Premiership log with 42 points to their name after 16 matches played.
The Brazilians bagged a 3-0 win against AmaZulu in their last league fixture and have recorded three draws in their last handful of games. Despite their stuttering form, Sundowns are yet to lose a game in the DStv Premiership this season.
Also, the Tshwane giants have been efficient on the road in the last couple of months, recording four wins and one stalemate in their last five away matches.
Next up a trip to Mbombela!
