Real Madrid, in an official statement, expressed their deepest condolences and warmth to the families of the deceased in Libya as the Spanish club conveyed their support to the Libyans.

FootballAccording to CNN, at least 2,000 people have died, and 10,000 are missing after Storm Daniel dumped so much rain on Libya’s northeast that two dams collapsed, sending water into already inundated areas.
Libya minister says storm damage is catastrophicMeanwhile, Hichem Chkiouat, the minister of civil aviation for the government of Eastern Libya and a member of the emergency committee, has called the deadly floods a catastrophe, BBCreports.
Chkiouat stated that although they are «handling the situation,» they do not have the full capability and that international assistance is needed from nations like Turkey, Egypt, Italy, and Qatar.
The minister added that the fallen dam had not undergone maintenance in a while, which may have contributed to the dire situation.
