Liverpool star Andy Robertson believes “the sky is the limit” for team-mate Conor Bradley.
He says the 20-year-old can go right to the top of the game if he reproduces his current performances on a consistent basis.
Northern Ireland international Bradley played 72 minutes of Sunday’s Carabao Cup Final, impressing first at right-back and then in midfield.
Afterwards, at the trophy presentation, there was an appreciative embrace from his manager Jurgen Klopp.
Robertson believes Sunday’s triumph is only the start for Bradley.
The Scotland captain told the Belfast Telegraph: “He’s been different class and it’s just now about consistency. That’s what I’m speaking to him about all the time.
“He’s shown all the quality that he’s got, he’s shown all the attributes and now it’s about doing it week in, week out.
“He’s done that so far and he needs to keep doing that because the sky’s the limit for him.
“He can go to the very top but he just needs to do it week in, week out and that’s what we’re trying to hammer home to him.”
Bradley was one of several young players who came of age against Chelsea’s billion-pound squad, with Virgil Van Dijk heading the winner in the 118th minute.
Liverpool finished with Jarell Quansah (21), Harvey Elliott (20), Bobby Clark (19), James McConnell (19) and Jayden Danns (18) on the pitch.
With a growing injury crisis, Robertson said they had no other option but to put their faith in youth.
He added: “You’ve got a Final and you’ve got 45,000 Liverpool fans coming here and they expect still to win.
