Roy Keane and Gary Neville praised Liverpool's start to the season after Jurgen Klopp's side made it three wins and a draw from their opening four games..
The Reds beat Aston Villa 3-0 at Anfield following wins over Newcastle and Bournemouth, with an opening day draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It follows a midfield rebuild at Anfield, with Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and on deadline day, Ryan Gravenberch arriving in a busy summer transfer window.
It leaves Liverpool in third place as the season enters its first international break, two points behind leaders Manchester City.
And speaking after watching their former side Manchester United lose 3-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates, Keane and Neville had praise for the way the Reds have gone about their season so far.

Keane said: "Liverpool have had a good start. They are going under the radar and they will be delighted with their start."
Neville agreed, saying: "They have a world class manager who has brought stability to that football club and everyone believes in, that is so important."
Speaking on Sky Sports, the discussion continued, with second-placed Tottenham written off despite a good start and West Ham, who are behind Liverpool in fourth, praised for their performances so far.
Key to their form has been James Ward-Prowse and fellow pundit Theo Walcott admitted he was surprised Liverpool weren't interested in taking the midfielder from Southampton after the exit of Jordan Henderson to Saudi Arabia. Ward-Prowse would join the Hammers for £30m.
