Roy Keane fires Manchester City Premier League title race warning amid Arsenal prediction
Former Manchester United midfielder and Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane believes that Arsenal have the best chance of outlasting reigning champions Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
The Gunners cemented their spot at the top of the league with a 2-0 win over Brighton thanks to second-half goals from Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz. The Brazilian international gave Mikel Arteta's men the lead thanks to a defensive mistake from Seagulls centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke which saw Jesus capitalise at the backpost.
Havertz then secured all three points to keep Arsenal's unbeaten home record as a rapid counter attack saw captain Martin Odegaard find the path of Eddie Nketiah who had Bukayo Saka to his right and the German to his left. He slide the ball to Havertz who calmly dinked it through Bart Verbruggen for his fifth goal of the season.
Speaking after the game, Arteta couldn't hide how happy he was with his team's performance and highlighted how well his side snuffed out any attempt from Brighton to control the match. He said: «Outstanding.
