Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he is 'hopeful' of welcoming back some of his players into the squad ahead of Sunday'sPremier League clash with West Ham.
During his press-conference on Friday, Arteta said: «We have a few still in contention, they’ve been evolving really well. Tomorrow we have another training session. We’re hopeful that we’ll have a few back and that we can put a very competitive squad out there.»
However, Thomas Partey is expected to miss out for a third successive game as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury. There has been no positive update on Gabriel Jesus, who suffered a setback in training and was absent for the win over Liverpool last week.
Oleksandr Zinchenko was substituted at half-time of that game while Bukayo Saka was also withdrawn. The England international should be fit to feature against the Hammers along with Takehiro Tomiyasu, who has returned from international duty with Japan.
