Spurs’ Aussie takeover grows as Ange hires ex-Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak as assistant coach
The Australian contingent at Tottenham Hotspur has grown larger with former Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak joining Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff.
Spurs confirmed Jedinak, along with Chris Davies, Rob Burch, Ryan Mason and Matt Wells would make up the team behind Postecoglou.
It sees Australia’s Asian Cup-winning combination reunited in the Premier League after Jedinak led Postecoglou’s Socceroos to the 2015 crown on home soil.
The 38-year-old retired from professional football in 2020 and took a behind-the-scenes role at his final club Aston Villa.
He was the captain of Australia throughout Postecoglou’s entire stint in charge of the national side.

“Mile, a former captain of the Australia national team under Ange, also joins the coaching staff as Assistant Coach following a spell as a youth coach and Loan Development Coach at Aston Villa,” Spurs said.
“He previously played in the Premier League for both Villa and Crystal Palace.”
