Many people looking to grab a cheap alcoholic drink might head straight to Wetherspoons.
The pub chain has won over many bargain hunters thanks to its discounted meals, including the Curry Club, Chicken Club and Steak Club which allows customers to bag a cheaper meal throughout the week. But Wetherspoons isn't the only restaurant with offers, in fact, one city centre venue has an alcohol deal that's cheaper than the high-street pub chain.
Asian-inspired restaurant Liu Shi, at 60 Hope Street, offers people the chance to get their hands on four pints of Pijiu lager for £15 or five bottles of Asahi for £15, with their Thirsty Thursday deal. Diners ordering the duck burger or sweet potato katsu curry also get a free glass of beer or house wine on Thursdays.

The deal is significantly cheaper than Wetherspoons in Liverpool city centre, where customers will pay £25.15 for five bottles of Asahi, or £18.48 for four pints of San Miguel and £16.76 for four pints of Carling. But that's not the only offer available at Liu Shi.
On Wine Wednesday you can get a free main course when buying a bottle of wine, Prosecco or Champagne. While on Fizz Fridays customers can enjoy fish and chips and glass of Prosecco for the discounted price of £19.95. Others include a two course lunch for £16, from 12 to 4pm, Wednesday to Friday, Kids Eat Free on Sunday in April and May and a pre theatre three courses for £28.
