Tchouameni racially abused after scoring 30-yard screamer
Once again, and unfortunately, it is time to talk about racism in Spanish football. In the stands of Son Moix, during Real Madrid's win over Mallorca on Saturday, a young man (it could even be a youngster) made the monkey gesture while several 'Merengues' players were celebrating the 0-1 goal, scored by Aurelien Tchouameni in the 48th minute.
The Frenchman went to the corner flag to celebrate the goal, initially alongside Antonio Rudiger, Nacho and Luka Modric. At that moment, and as Ferland Mendy, Fede Valverde and Brahim Diaz joined in the hugs with their teammates, the 'Movistar LaLiga' cameras captured the gesture of the home fan.
From one of the front rows, this individual, wearing a Mallorca scarf, stood up from his seat and imitated the movements of a monkey. He put his hands under his armpits several times before fliping the 'Merengues' footballers the bird. He then sat back down in his seat.
On this occasion, Vinicius, the victim of many of the offences reported this season, was not on the pitch. The Brazilian, as seen on 'Real Madrid TV', was doing warm-up exercises with Eduardo Camavinga. He raised his arm and celebrated Tchouameni's goal with his team-mate on the touchline as they joined in the former Monaco man's military celebration.
