Here is the full transcript of our Tottenham Hotspur Q&A with our Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold as he answered questions about the north London club
VENMFST: "Was wondering what sort of options Spurs have when trying to 'replace' Harry Kane this summer, and whether the money we got from a sale will be used at all or if it’s been spent already?"
Alasdair says: "Postecoglou appeared to make it clear that he was not going to look for a number nine type striker to replace Harry Kane. Whether that was just a bluff in an attempt to keep prices down - which would be unlikely to work - is one thing.
"If it is the case that no new number nine is being sought then that suggests Richarlison fills that role but then someone like a Gift Orban-type, able to play through the middle or out wide could be brought in to get more game time across the front line and push the Brazilian.
"Spurs distanced themselves quickly from any talk of trying to sign Romelu Lukaku and with players like Brennan Johnson of interest to them, it suggests targeting young players with more versatility to work within Postecoglou's system unless they feel they need to try to make a statement with a Vlahovic type.
"In terms of the money, Spurs have spent about £110m on five players plus whatever Manor Solomon ends up costing once everything is sorted out. Yes I know Chelsea just spent that on one player. There's also about £66m on making Porro and Kulusevski's loans permanent although opinions will differ on whether that should be included in previous window's budgets. Financially you would imagine it won't as deals are engineered that way to spread finances for both clubs involved.
