During a chat on CBS Sports about the Champions League, Harry Kane playfully called out Jamie Carragher for not telling the truth.
Carragher, a Liverpool legend, had earlier told others on the CBS panel - Thierry Henry, Micah Richards and host Kate Abdo - that he'd talked to Bayern Munich star player Kane before their match against Lazio. Bayern needed a comeback after losing 1-0 to Lazio in Rome and they did this easily thanks to two goals from Kane, winning the game 3-0.
After the match, Kane spoke to CBS. Straightaway, Abdo asked him about what Carragher had said earlier: "Before we do anything, I think we should clear something up because Jamie said earlier in the pre-game that he called you and spoke to you this week - is that true or false?"

Kane answered with an apology, saying: "Erm, that is false." His response got laughs from Henry and Richards, while Carragher was left shocked and jokingly pleaded: "H, don't do this to me!"
He added: "I'm telling everyone in America that we're friends, that we've got a great relationship. I can't believe you have just done that to me!"
To make Carragher feel better, Kane replied: "We are friends but I'm not going to lie on national TV!" When asked if he really does have Carragher's phone number, the 30-year-old said they usually chat on Twitter.
Saving face, Carragher replied: "See Kate, we're Twitter friends! " After the game, Kane joked on social media: "Sorry @Carra23 the truth will always come out," with three laughing faces.
