Jordan Henderson is reportedly ready to hold crunch talks with Jurgen Klopp in the next 24 hours as Saudi Pro League club Al Ettifaq prepare a whopping contract offer to entice the Liverpool captain.
The Mail Online say that new Al Ettifaq boss and Anfield legend Steven Gerrard wishes to make Henderson his first marquee signing. The report also claims that Al Ettifaq are willing to quadruple the England international's wages to £700,000-per-week.
Henderson, who has made 492 appearances for Liverpool, returned to the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday in immaculate condition for his 13th pre-season on Merseyside, but now questions have intensified over whether this will indeed be his last. The 33-year-old still has two years remaining on his Reds contract.
It remains to be seen whether Klopp would even allow Henderson to leave. The Liverpool boss has already lost vice-captain James Milner to Brighton & Hove Albion on a free transfer.
