Phil Foden has conceded that Nottingham Forest managed to find a way to get at Manchester City in the final 10 minutes of the first half in Saturday’s 2-0 win.
The England star opened his club account for the season by firing home on seven minutes before Erling Haaland’s strike seven minutes later. Foden was in top form in the first 45 minutes but had to adapt when Rodri was dismissed shortly after half-time.
However, it was before the interval that Foden thought Forest found the most joy. As per BBC Sport, the 23-year-old said: "I’m delighted with the performance. I think the first half was brilliant apart from the last 10, I think they found us out a little.

"The second half was not what we expected because Rodri got a red card quite early. It wasn't ideal but we showed a different side to us today to dig in and yeah, I'm proud of the team."
City captain Kyle Walker heaped praise on his international teammate, hitting back at his critics and praising the player for proving them wrong. He told Premier League Productions that he wouldn't be dropping Foden if he was Pep Guardiola.
He said: "Whenever people write him [Foden] off, he always comes back and proves them wrong. You have to understand he's still very young, he's still learning and he's still gonna have a lot of fire in his belly to go and prove the manager wrong... I don't think he can be dropped but I'm not the manager, so I don't make those decisions."
