Manchester United will likely have to dip into the loan market again this month after a big summer spend.
More than £180m was splashed last year in addition to the £225m the summer prior, and so United officials are concerned about breaking Financial Fair Play rules. As a result, United may be forced into cut-price deals or temporary recruits.
Erik ten Hag has refused to close the door on loans, having brought in Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer last January with neither staying beyond the summer. The Reds are in need of attacking reinforcement but they might have to make do with what they can get in this market.
