Arsenal are in a brilliant position heading into their Premier League clash against Brighton on Saturday. The Gunners made it ten games without defeat in the league as they beat Luton 2-0 to climb back to the top of the table, albeit temporarily, on Tuesday.
Mikel Arteta was able to rotate his side, giving a rest to Declan Rice, Jorginho, Jakub Kiwior, and Gabriels Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus. Even the latter trio, who have been in and out of the side at times this season due to injury and form, will be looking to benefit from the additional time on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, there were impressive displays from Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe. The only pair missing the game were Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber as Arsenal edge towards having their entire playing squad available for the first time this season.
Arteta will update the press on his squad's fitness early on Friday morning before travelling down to the south coast. Here, football.london has the latest from the treatment room ahead of the game.
Injury: Muscular.
Saka was taken off late on against Manchester City, limping from the field with a physio alongside him. Arteta downplayed worries after the match and ahead of Luton with the attacker taking part in training ahead of the game.
However, Saka was not involved on Wednesday in a heavily rotated XI after failing a fitness test, football.london understands. It is believed that his absence is not thought to be much of a worry, though, as he recovers from a muscular issue picked up before the break.
