William Gallas believes that Chelsea already have their very own Cristiano Ronaldo. The 38-year-old striker has quickly become heavily linked with a return to the Premier League following the 'Day of Reckoning' boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Frank Warren was sat next to the striker on Saturday night, where Anthony Joshua was fighting in the main event against Otto Wallin. When the camera panned over to the duo who were sitting ringside, Tyson Fury's promoter joked: «He's signing for Arsenal!»
Ronaldo and Warren laughed, but then the latter followed up his comment with a tweet confirming that he's 'working' on a deal which sees the five-time Ballon d'Or winner return to the English top-flight.
However, while Todd Boehly may be interested in finally signing Ronaldo, the American billionaire has been told he already has his own version of the Portuguese legend waiting to be unlocked. In an interview with Gambling Zone earlier this year, Gallas said: «I think he has all of the attributes to become a top, top player.
»We can all see that he has the ingredients, we are just waiting to see his real quality. He makes things look really easy. The way that he can accelerate past players, he makes his opponent look slow
«One player that was a little bit similar was Cristiano Ronaldo. When Cristiano was younger and first came to the Premier League, he showed that he had all of the technical ability and the pace. He showed incredible skill with his stepovers.
