Brighton's latest signing Valentin Barco to miss Wolves clash, says De Zerbi
Valentin Barco has become Brighton & Hove Albion's latest gamble on the future. The Argentinian coach spoke about his arrival for the first time at the pre-match press conference ahead of Monday night's game against Wolves. "Yes, he's a good player. We have to understand when he can start playing for us. At the moment, he is in the Pre-Olympic. We have to see him play in games, live, on the field, and see what else he has. You can get to know players on video, but sometimes you find other characteristics on the field," he said.
"I think he's going to be an important player," he concluded of his potential playing time when Barco is available. Earlier this morning, the full-back started in Argentina's opener in the tournament mentioned by the Italian. The result was a 1-1 draw with Paraguay and the former Boca Juniors player played the full match.
While waiting to be included in Brighton & Hove Albion's squad, Roberto de Zerbi faces an important game with the visit of Wolves. A win would be enough to overtake Manchester United in the race for seventh place in the Premier League, the perfect prelude to challenging West Ham United for a place in Europe's top flight.
