Ange Postecoglou has made two changes to his Tottenham team for Friday evening's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace. Usually only having one game every seven days due to the team's failure to qualify for Europe, it has been all change this week with two games on the agenda.
Having secured a 2-0 win over Fulham on Monday evening to return to the top of the Premier League table, the Lilywhites are back in action with a tricky away game against the Eagles. If Spurs do manage to maintain their excellent start to the league campaign and secure another win, they will open up a five-point gap on their rivals ahead of this weekend's fixtures.
For tonight's match in south London, Postecoglou has Yves Bissouma available for selection once again after the midfielder sat out Monday's win through suspension. Revealing ahead of the game that the club would assess Destiny Udogie's fitness after he came off early in the team's last win, the Italian left-back is not part of the matchday squad as Ben Davies starts.
Guglielmo Vicario, as ever, starts in goal for Tottenham and he has a back four of Pedro Porro, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Davies ahead of him. In midfield, Postecoglou has decided to start Bissouma alongside Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison in the middle of the park.
Sarr was another player to come off early against Fulham but Postecoglou confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the Senegal international would be fine to play against Palace. Tottenham's team is then completed by Dejan Kulusevski, Son Heung-min and Richarlison making up the front three.
There is a further boost to the matchday squad with Rodrigo Bentancur taking place in the matchday party for the first time since February.
