Tottenham are in talks to sign Club Brugge's 18-year-old attacker Antonio Nusa.
Spurs would like to tie up a deal this month before sending the highly-rated forward back to Belgium on loan until the end of the season. Daniel Levy and Co want to move quickly for the Norwegian as he has previously been the subject of strong interest from Chelsea among others.
The Blues saw a £23million bid rejected by Club Brugge on transfer deadline day in the summer but they are yet to return to the table and they're now thought to have cooled their interest.
Brentford, too, have been looking at Nusa, who has been scouted by Arsenal, and Spurs are believed to be willing to pay a fee worth in the region of £25m to secure his signature.
Ideally, Nusa favours staying at Club Brugge until at least the end of the season and thankfully, Tottenham are satisfied with that element of any deal because they cannot currently offer him regular minutes in north London. Meanwhile, another Spurs exit is also gathering pace following the sale of Eric Dier to Bayern Munich. Ivan Perisic is expected to undergo a medical with Hajduk Split this weekend as he looks to seal an emotional return to Croatia. Perisic has only featured six times for Spurs this season after suffering a cruciate ligament tear back in September. He is not due to return to action until April but is still targeting a place in Croatia's squad for the European Championships. Spurs are now finalising the details of Perisic's transfer and they now look set to save some money on the 34-year-old's wages between now and June.
