Brentford forward Neal Maupay has aimed the latest jibe at Tottenham following his celebration in the Premier League clash between the two sides.
The striker opened the scoring for the Bees in Tottenham’s 3-2 win at the end of January. His goal was followed by a celebration that saw him throw a pretend dart, copying James Maddison's actions after scoring.
It didn’t go down well with the England midfielder who showed his displeasure at the time. Maddison would though have the last laugh with Spurs taking all three points from the game.
After full-time Maddison aimed his own dig at Maupay: “He’s not scored enough goals of his own to have his own celebration so he’s copied mine,” he told TNT Sport.
Maddison also took to social media to share a post mocking the Brentford man. Maupay responded with his own dig writing: “Went a bit early with that one.
“Gutted we couldn’t get the win. More goals and less relegations in my career than James Maddison. We go again Monday bees.”

The forward has now spoken more about the celebration with Sport Bible .“Believe it or not, that wasn’t planned,” he said.
So I scored and as I was running towards the corner flag I just thought, ‘you know what, I’m going to throw a dart.”
On it being Maddison’s celebration, he added: “Yeah. That’s how he celebrates his goal, right? But then apparently you’re not allowed to throw a dart.
“It’s only him now that can do it because of the way he got offended. So it was quite funny.
