Thomas Tuchelwill leave Bayern at the end of the season. The Bavarian club announced the news a few days ago after a turbulent season. Disputes between the coach and part of the squad precipitated the events and, now, the club is looking for a new coach.
Following the announcement that he would not be staying on, Thomas Tuchel had a tense talk with his players. Accompanied by Christian Dreesen, the club's general manager, he addressed his men. "You are responsible now," said the coach.
"There are no more arguments every week, everyone knows that...", he continued. He took the opportunity to encourage the group, as they still have a chance of finishing well: "We can still achieve something, we have to win".
Lastly, he hit out at the players with whom he has not exactly had a good relationship: "You can introduce yourselves to the new coach now".
Meanwhile, Christian Dreesen told 'Bild' what he said to the squad after Tuchel's harsh words: "I emphasised that your personal interests cannot take precedence over those of the club and the team. The most important thing is Bayern. The players must show the quality on the pitch, which they undoubtedly have.
