UEFA has approved its financial records, and the body's figures are in excess of €5 billion for next season, according to 'Mundo Deportivo'. It has increased the amount for the 2024/2025 campaign by 19.2%.
Specifically, the amount is 5,096 million euros. These come 84% from television rights (4,239,287), 14% from commercial rights (685,539) and 2% from other concepts such as tickets (40,264), hospitality (28,695) and other income (48,267).
Despite this significant increase in the budget, UEFA expects a loss of around 19 million euros. This is the third consecutive year in which UEFA has recorded financial deficits.
These losses are due to the fact that the growth in income is directly related to the increase in expenditure. UEFA plans to distribute 78% of its income to participating clubs, plus 55 million for the federations, 59 million for referees, 56 million for "other" expenses, 307 million for events and 160 million for employees. In addition, 10% of the budget will go to solidarity payments.
