Van de Ven return, Richarlison back - how Tottenham could line up after the international break
Ange Postecoglou will be watching his Tottenham players playing for their country with a touch of trepidation and hoping that they all return in good shape.
The Australian has regular Spurs starters captain Son Heung-min, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Cristian Romero, Pape Matar Sarr, Richarlison, Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie and Guglielmo Vicario all potentially playing international football this week. He will also have the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies getting game time that should help their sharpness.
Those missing out on international football through injury are Micky van de Ven and Manor Solomon, while Ryan Sessegnon and Fraser Forster are also out with long-term issues.
Yves Bissouma has not been called up by Mali this month, with his international coach Eric Chelle saying the midfielder does not fit his diamond formation. Timo Werner, Emerson Royal, Oliver Skipp and Bryan Gil are the others who have missed out on international selection this time around.

The Tottenham head coach said on Van de Ven ahead of the Fulham defeat: "Micky, it's nothing too significant. He’ll miss tomorrow, but we’re quite confident if the recovery goes well with the international break, he shouldn’t miss too much more. I think he came off at the right time to be honest. So while he misses tomorrow, it’s still positive."
