Arsenal and Chelsea have been handed the huge chance to land Napoli striker Victor Osimhen after a shocking twist in his stay with the Italian champions. The Nigerian international has been heavily linked with the two London clubs alongside a whole host of other top sides.
At just 24 years old, Osimhen has been able to rise to notoriety in the past few years with his consistent ability to score goals. Last season, that truly took off as he scored 26 goals in 35 Serie A appearances on the way towards the side winning the competition, as well as scoring five in six during their Champions League stint.
The forward has become a handful for opposition to deal with, whether that's defending in the box or higher up the pitch. Osimhen's pace makes it tough for opposition when he runs behind their defence, while his willingness to get on the end of crosses makes him an aerial threat in the box too.
In fact, it's that desire that has caused some of his biggest issues at times in the form of injuries that have kept him out of key games. On one such occasion, the striker managed to fracture his cheekbone which led to the wearing of a black mask, something he has become synonymous with.
After a Serie A title, it seemed as though Napoli could continue their push towards the very top of European football with their players available. A slow start to this latest campaign has brought about questions of new boss Rudi Garcia — who replaced title winner Luciano Spalletti.
