The Manchester City manager held a press conference to discuss the Sky Blues' run of form in the Premier League. The Cityzens are the reigning FIFA World Club champions and completed a treble in England last term, but they are on a run of poor form that has seen them drop points and lose top spot this season.
"We made in the past a lot of winnings streaks, a lot, but never during that time did we think about how many games we were going to win, we only thought next one. In the moment we had the rivalry with Liverpool last year and last year, we knew, we felt that if we lose a game, we are not going to win the Premier League and that's why they demand us to maintain our high level and I think we pushed them to the highest level as well," said the Skyblues boss.
The former Bayern Munich manager urged his team to keep working and put in good performances so that good results can return to the Etihad Stadium outfit. "I had the feeling we could have more points for the way we behave, the way we perform, specially here at home. We perform really well, but we didn't get what maybe we deserve," claimed Guardiola.
