Former Argentina international Jorge Burruchaga believes Tottenham Hotspur man Cristian Romero is a better defender than Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk.

Prior to his red card and subsequent ban extension, Van Dijk had shown glimpses of restoring his sturdy defensive showings, following a catalogue of disappointments for the team last season.
