'We do have a certain opinion' - Ronald Koeman takes fresh swipe at Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch
Ronaldo Koeman has suggested there is still a route back for Ryan Gravenberch into his Netherlands squad - but he has not forgotten that he snubbed a call-up last month.
Gravenberch had been named in the Netherlands U21 side for the September international break for their games against Moldova and North Macedonia in Euro U21 qualifying. However, he rejected the call in order to focus on Liverpool.
The midfielder joined the Reds on transfer deadline day from Bayern Munich after enduring a frustrating time with the German giants following a transfer from Ajax. Gravenberch is understood to have told the Dutch FA that he wanted to prioritise adapting to life at Anfield and, therefore, made himself unavailable for selection last month.

Koeman, however, was furious with the 21-year-old’s decision, while Netherlands under-21 boss Michael Reiziger also slammed the call. Gravenberch was left out of the Netherlands squad for the upcoming October round of international fixtures, but he has revealed there is still a route back into the fold for the midfielder.
"We do have a certain opinion about cancelling the Dutch Juniors," Koeman said when asked about a possible future call-up for Gravenberch. “He hasn't played much yet.
“I still think he's a great talent, and I hope he will play a lot at Liverpool and continue his development. Then he will certainly be a player for the Dutch team."
