Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has admitted he has not been left surprised by Demarai Gray's "entitled" plot to secure a transfer move away from Everton.
It has today been reported by multiple outlets that Gray is on the verge of an £8m move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq, which will see him playing under Steven Gerrard and become team-mates with Jordan Henderson, another former Liverpool captain.
This expected deal comes after an Instagram post by the winger on Sunday, which saw him seemingly accuse Sean Dyche of a "lack of respect". The Everton boss has since responded to this controversial message, insisting the winger "did not want to train" or be at the club as he attempted to force through an exit.
Unsurprised by how this saga has been played out in public, Jordan believes Gray's antics are simply a sign of how the modern-day footballer goes about his business.

"If you're not being picked in the side or not being given what you think you're entitled to, that is not tantamount to a lack of respect," stated the talkSPORT host. "That's tantamount that you haven't got the move you've got, so what you want to do is use respect to leverage your point and create the brand of division you think you're entitled to.
