Wendy's the fast food giant from America is set to open a drive-thru restaurant in Merseyside.
Already there are 30 sites across the UK with one of them being in Liverpool city centre inside Gravity MAX. However Merseyside's first Wendy's drive-thru restaurant is set to open in Kirkby this year.
The drive-thru will be found at the Academy Business Park, off Lees Road, in Knowsley. While it's unclear when the Wendy's will open, a spokesperson told the ECHO that it will be "coming to the area some time this year".

The fast food chain has been serving their signature square burgers for five decades in America and brought them to the UK in 2021. Their much loved Frosty deserts which are essentially a very thick, ice cream like milkshake, were also introduced.
Other menu offerings include breakfast sandwiches, sausage, egg and cheese croissant, spicy chicken nuggets, Caesar chicken salads and more. They serve more than just fries on the side too, with customers able to choose from topped jackets potato and chili con carne.
As well as Liverpool ONE's Gravity Max, Wendy's can also be found in Sheffield, Oxford, Leeds, Hull, Derby, Reading, Sutton, Portsmouth, Lincoln and more. Find more information here.
