Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich gave an interview to 'Sky Sport': "My contract is still valid until 2025, I want to give my best for this club and then we'll see what happens," he said.
His contract with the German club expires in one season, so the board must consider renewing him or sell him next summer if they don't want him to leave as a free agent.
Kimmich said he is happy in Munich. "I'm happy here for sure. I'm happy with the club and the city, of course," he said. But there have been tense situations at the Bavarian outfit in recent weeks due to poor results and the German has been involved in some of them.
The relationship between Thomas Tuchel and the midfielder is not at its best. Despite the fact that the coach will leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the current campaign, both have to live together until the end of the season.
According to 'Sport', the German side are not ruling out the player's departure. Meanwhile, sporting director Max Eberl has not denied the rumours about the midfielder's departure either.
"I think a new coach has different views, sees the player in a different way, and that's basically something we have to wait and see. But I would also like to talk to Josh, the conversation hasn't happened yet, but it will definitely happen because he is a very important player for Bayern," Eberl told reporters.
Joshua Kimmich's future is uncertain. European teams such as Barcelona are interested in him and the German's situation at the club does not look the best.
