According to Florian Plettenberg , Joshua Kimmich (29) has ruled Paris Saint-Germain out of the running for his next club. PSG alongside Manchester United and Chelsea will not be an option as the German midfielder plans a move away from Bayern Munich this summer.
This decision will come as a blow to PSG who have been in the market for an experienced midfielder to join their side in the summer, and they had even made a tentative approach in the winter transfer window to convince Kimmich of their project.
It appears as if Kimmich would prefer one of five clubs to be his next step: Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Barcelona. Plettenberg states that some of these clubs have even begun to contact the player.
Despite looking like an end for a player who has spent nearly a decade at Bayern Munich after his relationship with the club deteriorated recently, the German club will only sell the midfielder if a suitable offer arrives. They will not be strongarmed into making a cut-price deal for a European rival to secure a player they still value.
