Arsenal continued their impressive start to the 2023/24 season on Saturday afternoon with a dominant performance at AFC Bournemouth.
The Gunners came into the trip down south on the back of four league wins in six games. Wednesday's Carabao Cup victory over Brentford extended their unbeaten run to the season to eight.
Against Bournemouth, Mikel Arteta's side continued to show their class with a commanding first-half performance against the Cherries. Bukayo Saka marked his return to the starting XI with his fourth Premier League goal of the season when he headed home a loose ball before a second was added before the break.
Eddie Nketiah was brought down by Max Aarons inside the penalty area to allow Martin Odegaard to convert from 12 yards out. However, supporters would have noticed that it wasn't Saka who took the responsibility from the penalty spot.
The England international scored from the spot in last week's North London Derby against Tottenham and has been the usual penalty taker recently. However, as he did in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, Saka took a step back for Odegaard to score his third goal of the season.
Following the decision to award a penalty, Saka was seen with the ball throughout Bournemouth's protests. After the penalty area cleared, he passed the ball to Odegaard.

After the goal, Odegaard ran off before turning to Saka and pointing at him with a huge smile on his face. It seems as though the Norwegian is taking spot kicks away from the Emirates Stadium and Saka has the luxury of converting in north London.
