Rachael Blackmore is looking to win her second Grand National at Aintree on Saturday, April 13, as the jockey and her mount have been confirmed for the coveted race.
Blackmore rose to prominence in 2021 by becoming the first female jockey to win the Cheltenham Festival's Champion Hurdle with Honeysuckle. A month later she completed the same feat at Aintree, riding 11/1 Minella Times to an iconic victory in the Grand National, and by the time she claimed the 2022 Cheltenham Gold Cup with A Plus Tard, Blackmore was already a household name in the racing world.
She could not repeat her Aintree heroics in the following two meetings, as she and the same ride, Minella Times, fell at the ninth fence in 2022, then last year, only managed to bring home early favourite Ain't That A Shame in 17th place, well behind eventual winner Corach Rambler.

Blackmore has the opportunity to ride Minella Indo for Henry de Bromhead and turn her Aintree fortunes around.
Following her superb win at Punchestown on Minella Indo in October's Irish Daily Star Chase by a length and a quarter from second-placed Hurricane Georgie, De Bromhead was full of praise for the 11-year-old.
He said: "Rachael said that he really enjoyed himself out there — he jumped from fence to fence, with his ears pricked."
Minella Indo is currently priced between 14/1 and 22/1 to win the Grand National.
