Ted Curd has been recalled by Chelsea from his loan spell at Hashtag United. The 17-year-old goalkeeper made 16 starts while on loan at the non-league club, where he recorded four clean sheets and left quite the impression on the side.
In a statement from Hashtag, they were full of praise for Curd. The club said: «After 16 starts for the club, with 4 clean sheets & arguably the best save in Hashtag history, Ted has been recalled from his loan by @ChelseaFC.
»An incredible goalkeeper & a top man, mature beyond his 17 years. We wish you all the best for the future."
The teenage shot-stopper has 18 months remaining on his contract at Chelsea. Yet to play for the senior side, he has enjoyed success at younger age groups.
Curd, who joined Chelsea as an Under-9, was involved in three trophy successes during the 2021/22 season, including the Under-16 Premier League national finals, the Under-18 Premier League Cup and was a part of the England Under-16 squad that were triumphant in the Val de Marne trophy. The next season, his progression continued.

The Chelsea goalkeeper was consistently selected for the U18s in 22/23. Strong with his feet, Curd has all of the attributes to become a top player in his position in the modern game.
In November 2023, Curd was called up to the England U17 World Cup squad. The young Lions were knocked out by Uzbekistan in the Round of 16 of the competition in Indonesia.
