Nice sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has confirmed that Chelsea and Tottenham-linked Jean-Clair Todibo will not be allowed to leave the Ligue 1 club easily this month.
Todibo has been linked with a move to the Premier League since the summer with Mauricio Pochettino reportedly a fan of the France international. football.london understands he is one of three centre backs on the Blues shortlist.
Tottenham have been keen on Todibo since early this window, though their interest is expected to have cooled following the arrival of Radu Dragusin. However, the situation could be revisited in the summer depending on where Spurs finish. Unfortunately for both teams, it seems as though Todibo will be staying at Nice beyond the January transfer window following Ghisofli's strong message to the list of interested clubs.
In an interview with Get Football News France's Luke Entwistle, Nice chief Ghisolfi discussed the futures of Todibo and Khephren Thuram — who has been linked with a big-money move to Liverpool. «We want to have stability, and stability is keeping your best players,» he explained. «Jean-Clair and Khephren Thuram are definitely that. We absolutely want to keep them.»

Reports in recent weeks have suggested Todibo wants to wait until the summer to make his next move. The 24-year-old is thought to be fearful of moving in January with the European Championships around the corner. He wishes to remain at a club where he is guaranteed game time to give him the best chance of joining up with the French national team in Germany.
