I see yet another attempt has been made to resurrect a wage cap in Irish League football but, despite all 12 Premiership teams being represented at a meeting in Belfast, no definitive agreement was reached.
It appears the clubs agreed to work together around various subjects such as a proposed wage cap and also a possible change to the current calendar. However, neither of these subjects are straightforward decisions and I wouldn’t expect a speedy conclusion to either with both having some good points but some contentious issues as well.
