A woman from Mossley Hill in Liverpool spent £6 on her dress for the Grand National, with her whole outfit adding up to £20.
Racegoers attending the Grand National are known for their glamorous array of outfits, with men and women dressing up to the nines for the special occasion. We saw some outstanding dresses yesterday for Ladies Day, and today for the main Grand National race was no different.
Although there was a fair display of outfits from designer brands such as Karen Millen, there was a common trend this year with more affordable options. We spoke to Jess, from Mossley Hill who told us her stunning green dress cost a bargain £6.

In fact, her whole outfit added up to £20, including her shoes, jacket and fascinator and bag. Although it was Jess’s “first time ever” at the National, she rustled up a bargain outfit that looked amazing.
It wasn’t just Jess that scooped up a bargain either. Madi Ashcroft, 24 from Wigan got her dress from Boohoo and her fascinator from SHEIN and her shoes from Primark.
Caitlyn O’Donnell, 24, also from Wigan grabbed her fascinator from Claire’s and her dress from Berksha. It seems that SHEIN was a popular choice this year, with many opting for an outfit from the online store.
