Sean Dyche called on Everton to show a willingness to score dirty goals to end their struggles.
The Blues have now gone 11 matches without a Premier League win after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday. It is a run that started before Christmas and will continue until Easter with Everton now facing three weeks without a game.
Dyche said he will now regroup with his players to try to solve a problem that has undermined the team for most of this season. Asked for his thoughts on the United defeat, Dyche pointed to a recurring theme of not finishing the chances his side is creating. The Blues said: “I think we had 45 quality entries into their box and they had 15 into ours and we lose 2-0. It is very frustrating and we have had a run of that, where we have been performing correctly in so many ways. But the biggest stat you can ever have is the one at the end of the game, the scoreline is the one that is important and that is the bit we are getting on the wrong side of. We have got to continually work on it to change it.”
