AC Milan are 'interested' in signing forgotten Manchester City defender Yan Couto ahead of next summer's transfer window.
That is according to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, which claims Milan have their 'eyes set' on the Brazil international. Couto is currently on loan at Spanish side Girona, who are part of the City Football Group, and is going from strength to strength.
Joining them on loan for a third time during the summer, the 21-year-old has played a key role in their storming start to the season, helping them currently occupy top spot in La Liga. They are top of the pile after 13 games, two points clear of second-placed Real Madrid.

Couto, who joined City in 2020, signing a long-term deal, has made 13 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish side so far this season, chipping in with one goal and three assists. His eye-catching performances have caught the attention of Milan technical director Geoffrey Moncada, who is reportedly 'crazy' about the full-back.
Though Milan are reportedly keen on the idea of trying to get a deal done next year, they are aware that signing him will not be easy, accepting that his situation is 'controlled' by City. Couto recently addressed his future, admitting he would be open to sealing a permanent move to Girona if they secured Champions League qualification for next season.
