African icon divorces wife after shock 'DNA revelation'

A stunning report now claims that a certain African legend is divorcing his wife of 12 years after finding out he is not the real father of their two children. Here’s a look!

The story

Cameroon icon Geremi Njitap has filed for divorce from his wife Toukam Fotso Laure Verline after discovering that he is not the biological dad of their twins, according to Nigerian outlet Pulse Sports. 

The twins are said to have been born in 2008 four years before the couple tied the knot. It is claimed that in court documents, Njitap alleges that the twins are the offspring of Verline’s previous partner.

In the court documents, the now 45-year-old former player also alleges that the lack of sexual intimacy has caused a strain on their marriage, whilst also accusing his spouse of verbally abusing him and using derogatory language in the presence of their children. 

The two Africa Cup of Nations winner with the Indomitable Lions reportedly says he has been left psychologically damaged by the shocking revelations.

Meanwhile, Njitap is also reported to have been involved in a nasty altercation with the security staff of Cameroon Football Federation president Samuel Eto’o at the recent AFCON. 

It is said that things came to a head in the Cameroon dressing during the tournament, as Njitap was part of the nation’s delegation giving out speeches to the players. However, he was interrupted during his address at the instruction of Eto’o, who is alleged to have sent his guards to remove his former teammates from the locker room.
