Ange Postecoglou faces a number of important Tottenham decisions for the North London Derby clash with Arsenal on Sunday. Perhaps the biggest one is who accompanies Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski in attack with Manor Solomon, Brennan Johnson and Richarlison all likely hoping for a start.
In the 2-1 comeback victory against Sheffield United it was Solomon who started the game, but Johnson and Richarlison, particularly so the latter, delivered impressive cameos off the bench. The decision will likely be made in line with how Postecoglou chooses to deploy Son, with a central role increasing the chances for Johnson and Solomon, however playing in a left wing role would indicate Richarlison will be at the tip of the attack.
Another key decision facing Postecoglou is who replaces Ivan Perisic in the matchday squad after it was announced he had suffered an ACL injury in training earlier this week. The Croatia international has been a useful option off the bench as proven by his defensive cameo in the 2-0 win over Bournemouth and with his contributions at the other end in the late turnaround against Sheffield United.
With Perisic able to cover a number of positions, it is very difficult to find a perfect replacement in the squad, however there is one option who Spurs fans would likely love to see given the nod. Alongside James Maddison and Micky van de Ven as the marquee arrivals, Alejo Veliz was also signed as a talent for the future from Rosario Central in Argentina.
