Simon Jordan has hit out at the implementation of VAR in a furious rant, saying 'incompetent' people are making 'bad decisions'.
The Video Assistant Referee system has been thrown into fresh chaos after being responsible for disallowing Luis Diaz's strike against Tottenham at the weekend.
The Liverpool star was clearly onside as he latched onto a ball and slotted home, however a mix-up between the referee, Darren England and VAR officials led to it being ruled as offside.
This led the Professional Game Match Officials Limited [PGMOL] to admit that a 'significant human error' led to the first half strike being chalked off.
Frustratingly, this isn't the first time that a high-profile error has been made by VAR — a system that was introduced to eradicate clear and obvious errors.
But with mistakes now becoming common place, Jordan says that onus is now on Howard Webb to get a grip on how the system is implemented.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan said: «No one can defend the decision making process on Saturday.

“Ange Postecoglou addressed it in his post-match press conference and people say ‘of course he would because he’s the beneficiary of it’.
“The point of this is he said that nobody who is sensible thought VAR would get it right 100 per cent of the time. VAR requires people to interact with it.
“We are at a point where people are the reason bad decisions are being made. VAR is not the reason why bad decisions are being made.
“People are making bad decisions. It’s not a VAR conversation, it’s a competency conversation about why a VAR official doesn’t intervene.
