Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he didn't know if they had been the victims of another VAR controversy after Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross escaoped a red card in the 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards said the Brighton midfielder should have been sent off for his foul on Dominik Szoboszlai.
Gross gave away a penalty during the first half for pulling back the Hungarian inside the penalty area.
Mohamed Salah scored from the resulting penalty just before half-time in a quickfire double that saw Liverpool take the lead.
Afterwards Klopp said: 'I don't know. I don't know, I think it the foul is inside the box for a penalty it's a yellow card but if it's outside it could be red.
'I don't know, don't talk to me about rules. I take what I get.
'Did anybody say he should have been sent off? I trust an expert would know, I don't know.'
