Liverpool missed the chance to move above Manchester City in the Premier League as they drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp's side found themselves a goal behind when Simon Adingra capitalised on some slack play from Virgil van Dijk and Alexis Mac Allister after 20 minutes. Liverpool, though, weren't behind for long as Mohamed Salah scored two goals in the final five minutes of the first half to turn the game on its head.
Summer signing Ryan Gravenberch had the chance to extend Liverpool's lead early in the second half but he could only smash Dominik Szoboszlai's cut-back onto the crossbar. That allowed Brighton to rescue a point in the final stages of the game when Lewis Dunk bundled home a free-kick 12 minutes from time.

Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail wrote: "But one nagging doubt is whether Liverpool are good enough to challenge for the very top prizes again this season after a year in the mire that saw them go trophyless and finish fifth last campaign.
"Klopp's men were a typical blend of swashbuckling brilliance and a vulnerable mess here, at times showing the attacking prowess that makes them look unstoppable and at other moments demonstrating a sloppiness that makes them seem like they can be picked apart by any team."
