Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has been slammed by Greek media for his "disrespectful" celebration during Holland's 1-0 win.
The Reds skipper stepped up to convert from the spot in stoppage time as Oranje kept their hopes of qualification for the European Championships alive.
Following their defeat to France, Holland slipped outside of the top two to qualify for next summer's tournament in Germany. As a result, Greece leapfrogged them after their commanding 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland with Kostas Tsimikas providing an assist for the opener for Gus Poyet's side.
The two Liverpool teammates, Van Dijk and Tsimikas, met in Athens with Holland needing to win to keep the fate of their involvement in the upcoming Euros in their hands.

Manchester United flop Wout Weghorst squandered an opportunity from the penalty spot after Van Dijk was brought down in the box. The match was headed for a goalless draw until the 91st minute when the Liverpool captain stepped up to send Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos the wrong way.
Ronald Koeman's side moved back into second with the win, level on points with Greece as well as a better head-to-head record.
However, Van Dijk received criticism from the local media for his celebration after netting from 12 yards. The 32-year-old wheeled away doing his traditional celebration with his tongue out and it was the gesture that the Greek press took umbrage with.
