In an interview with Sky Sports, Anthony Martial’s (28) agent Phillipe Lamboley confirmed that the French striker will see out his contract at Old Trafford and stay at the club until June. The former Monaco striker’s contract with the Premier League club is set to expire in June 2024.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Martial’s agent said, “Anthony will not leave and will stay until his contract ends in June.” Manchester United have the option to extend the Lyon academy graduate’s contract by a further season but are not expected to exercise this option, according to Sky Sports. Martial has been linked with a potential move to Marseille in January.
In further comments issued to Sky Sports, Lamboley commented on the situation surrounding Martial at Old Trafford, “What is said about him is completely false, he was not excluded from the group and he has no problem with the coach.” The real reason for the 28-year-old’s absence is surgery on a hip problem, his agent has confirmed.
