Niall Quinn is relishing life at Glenavon after making the switch from Linfield
Former Linfield hero Niall Quinn doesn’t believe the time is right for his old club to consider outside investment.
The experienced defender played over 360 games for the Windsor Park outfit over 11 years after graduating from the Linfield Academy to the first-team squad in March 2012.
He still cherishes memories of five Premiership titles, two Irish Cups and two League Cups, plus two County Antrim Shields and European showdowns with Celtic and Qarabag.
A summer switch to Glenavon has presented Quinn with a very different challenge in his career but Linfield will always hold a special place in his heart.
The Blues now operate a full-time regime and have boosted their income through European success.
But the flow of money into the league has made it even more competitive, leaving clubs giving more thought to opening the door to financial backers.
Coleraine announced on Friday night that the takeover from investors Ranald McGregor-Smith and Patrick Mitchell is now complete.

Linfield may welcome investment in the coming years but Quinn doesn’t see it happening anytime soon.
